Welcome to Nutri-Connect 2025

Dear National and International Delegates,

On behalf of the Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Society (PNDS), we are delighted to welcome you to the 3rd PNDS International Conference: Nutri-Connect 2025, taking place from October 17–19, 2025, at Islamabad.

Building on the success of our past conferences—including the First International Conference in 2019 on “4X4: Four Non-Communicable Diseases and Four Modifiable Shared Risk Factors of NCDs,” graced by the President of Pakistan, and the Second International Conference in March 2022 on “The Triple Burden of Malnutrition in Pakistan – Breaking the Silos between Undernutrition and NCDs,” which attracted 400–500 participants, including international delegates—we are excited to announce this 3rd landmark event.

Malnutrition remains a critical challenge in Pakistan. The 3rd PNDS International Conference - Nutri-Connect 2025 will provide a platform to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, focusing on how food choices influence health outcomes and disease prevention. Experts will discuss the role of nutrition in both clinical and public health settings, highlighting its impact on disease prevention and health promotion.

Nutri-Connect 2025 aims to unite experts in the fields of clinical and public health nutrition to bridge gaps in academia, healthcare delivery and policy, ultimately fostering innovation and collaboration in nutrition science and practice, and propose actionable solutions that can be implemented at both individual and community levels

Objectives:

  1. To understand the link between diet, health outcomes, and disease prevention from the clinical & public health perspectives
  2. To facilitate knowledge exchange between nutrition researchers, clinicians, public health practitioners, and policymakers.
  3. To raise awareness about the critical need to integrate nutrition into public health and clinical settings, advocating for a stronger focus on nutrition within healthcare systems and policies.
  4. To offer networking and mentorship opportunities for nutrition and dietetic professionals and students.

The Conference sub-themes highlight key areas where Clinical and Public Health Nutrition intersect, addressing critical challenges and opportunities within Pakistan’s nutrition landscape. Gender, empowerment, equity, leadership, research, AI, and digital innovations are central to all discussions.

Through a combination of plenary lectures, workshops, symposiums, and discussions, we will explore innovative solutions that are not only evidence-based but also adaptable to Pakistan’s unique socio-economic and healthcare contexts.

We believe that your participation in this conference will contribute significantly to advancing the field of nutrition. We are committed to creating a space for meaningful dialogues that inspire new ideas, promote cross-disciplinary partnerships, and ultimately help shape policies and practices that will improve nutrition and health outcomes for all Pakistanis.

We warmly welcome you to join us at Nutri-Connect 2025 and look forward to the insights, innovations, and collaborations that will arise from this gathering. Your participation will be invaluable in advancing the field of nutrition and promoting positive health outcomes. We look forward to the insights and collaborations that will emerge from this important event.

Together, we can make a lasting impact on the future of nutrition sciences!

Sincerely,

Fayza Khan (General Secretary, PNDS) &  Rabia Anwar (President, PNDS)
